Hearthstone Masters Tour 2021 Recap
The 2021 season of the Hearthstone Masters Tour was split into 6 majors. Those being Ironforge, Orgrimmar, Dalaran, Silvermoon, Stormwind and Undercity. These events featured a yearly prize pool of 1.5 million dollars. The entire season was online due to the covid 19 pandemic.
Despite having a total prize pool of over a million dollars the winners of each event only took home $25,000 since the prize was shared between 32 players. The format and schedule for the 2022 season will be the exact same as well as this year remaining online. If you are interested in signing up you have until February 27th to get in on phase 2.
Hearthstone Masters Tour 2022
The 2022 season of the Hearthstone Masters Tour kicks off February 18th and will run all weekend long with the top 60 players battling it out for their share of the $250,000 prize pool. Some of the notable players who qualified for the first major include Jimon, TheViper94 and Trec. These players are some of the veterans of the scene with Trec having competitive history dating back to 2017.
The qualification process of this season mimic the same it has for years. Players must meet 1 of 5 requirements. The most demanding one being to win a qualifier. Others include being a Hearthstone Grandmaster and being a top 50 Legend on the in game ladder. Many are hoping to see the announcement of the Grandmasters and Masters Seasonal Championships during the first major later this year.
