The Game Awards: Full Coverage Part 2

New Games announced along with their release dates.


The Game Awards kicked off by showing us some new gaming trailers for upcoming games.

Here is a list of the new game trailers that were announced at the Gaming Awards last night that had fans excited and on the edge of their seats.


Tunic


This was the first game to have its world premiere debate at the Game Awards. Created by Canadian Developer Andrew Shouldice along with Indie Publisher Finji, got to showcase their Zelda-like adventure and action game that will premiere on March 16th, for all Xbox Platforms.


Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2’


The first trailer for the sequel to the game was revealed last night. The first game, released in 2017, takes you on a journey through the Viking Age, where a broken Celtic warrior known as Senua, embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover. The second game is just as scary as seen in the trailer. You follow Senua as she embarks through dark caves with companions. Also, this game is the first one to be released under Ninja Theory through Xbox Game Series.


‘Star Wars Eclipse,’


Earlier last night, Quantic Dream studio revealed a new Star Wars game set in the high Republic era. The game is a new game in the Star Wars franchise created in partnership with Lucasfilm. The trailer itself holds promise with eerie music, two Jedi dueling on a bridge, someone who looks like Yoda, and beautiful planetary views. The trailer finishes with someone standing in Coruscant's Jedi Temple and a very intense dog fight. There is currently no set release day or what system the game will be playable on.


Wonder Woman Game


Monolith Productions, just released and announced that they are currently in the development of a Wonder Woman game. The trailer showed no gameplay but some very nice and cinematic shots of Wonder Woman along with her weapons and armor. There is no current release date set.


Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade


The game is finally coming to PC, which provided a lot of excitement for the audience along with current players. The game will be released on Dec. 16 through the Epic Games Store and will be featuring content and upgrades from the ps5 game; including the “Intermission” story starring Yuffie.


Alan Wake II’


After nearly a decade of waiting, a new trailer for Alan Wake 2 was finally released. The game will be released in 2023 by Remedy Entertainment. According to the developers, it will be their first-ever survival horror game. Fans can expect more scares and more stories, as shown by the trailer which will feature an action-style game with horror elements.


Tchia


This game is an open-world adventure game where you can climb, glide, swim, and sail your boat around a beautiful archipelago in this physics-driven sandbox. Use Tchia's special ability to take control of any animal or object you can find, and Jam on your fully playable Ukulele. The game is set to release in 2022.


Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League


Releasing in 2022, the game will follow Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark as Task Force X on a mission to take down Brainiac. But before doing this, they have to get through Superman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League, who have all been brainwashed by the alien, who plans to conquer the earth. This game will take place in an open-world experience and Rocksteady’s “Arkham-verse” version of Metropolis.


Forspoken


Forspoken follows the journey of Frey, a young New Yorker transported to the beautiful and cruel land of Athia. In search of a way home, Frey must use her newfound magical abilities to traverse sprawling landscapes and battle monstrous creatures. The game is set to release in May 2022.


Space Marine 2


This new and improved sequel comes from Saber Interactive, the studio behind World War Z. The game will star the main character from the original game, Ultramarine Captain Titus, who will be voiced by actor Clive Standen. This new trailer seems to be the same model as the first game, by keeping the third-person shooter with its action and closeness to the lore. The game has no set release date but will be available for Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5.


Somerville


"In the wake of catastrophe, you must find the means to make your family whole again. Somerville is a Sci-Fi adventure grounded in the intimate repercussions of a large-scale conflict." -Steam. The game follows you and your family as you do whatever it takes to survive the rural landscape and uncover its secrets. The game is set to release in 2022.


Dune Spice Wars


Dune: Spice Wars is a new real-time strategy game set in the Dune Universe. The game is set to have early access in 2022, which will grant players the option to play single-player, and then the multiplayer and campaign will be added later on to the early release period, according to the developers. The game will also include multiple playable factions and multiple ways to win a game, which could possibly mean the ability to replay games.


Self Made- Saint's Row


Saints Row: Self Made is an entirely new game, set in the American Southwest in Santo Ileso. According to developers, this game is a reboot of the original Saint Rows games. The game centers around four main characters Eli, Kevin, Nina, and the player character, the "Boss. Fans can expect to see some very crazy weapons along with missions that are coming back from previous games. It will release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. It should hit shelves on February 25, 2022.


Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’

The game is set to release in 2o22 but is available for pre-order in the epic games store for PC.


Star Trek: Resurgence


Coming to consoles and PCs is a new game set in the Star Trek Universe after the era of Star Trek: The Next Generation on a starship known as the U.S.S. Resolute, which features two playable protagonists; First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz. Throughout the game, fans will discover a dark and sinister mystery behind two alien civilizations that are on the brink of war. The game is set to release in spring 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC (through the Epic Games Store), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.


Lord of the Rings: Gollum


This upcoming action-adventure game developed and co-published by Daedalic Entertainment will follow the adventures of the character of Gollum before the events of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. The game trailer has also revealed dialog options for players, which will allow them to either follow the path of the bitter Gollum or his timid and kind alter ego Smeagol. The game is set to come out at some point next year and will be available for PC, Playstation, Xbox, and Switch.


Rumbleverse


Announced last night at the Gaming Awards was a new game that fans weren't expecting. A free 40-player pro wrestling Battle Royale game where players compete in the streets and rooftops of Grapital City, to see who is the world champ of this wrestling royal rumble. Using only wrestling moves will be each player's way to winning, or you could throw your opponent off a 30 story building into a parked car or bus. The game is set to release on February 8 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.


A Plague Tale Requiem


"Embark on an emotional and breathtaking journey in the sequel to the award-winning A Plague Tale: Innocence. Follow Amicia and her brother Hugo, as they do whatever it takes to survive a brutal, uncaring world." -asobostudio. The game is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and in Cloud Version on Nintendo Switch in 2022.


Crossfire X


"A legendary PC franchise comes to Xbox in a fast-paced first person shooter offering a variety of exhilarating multiplayer experiences and a cinematic campaign that explores the global conflict between the world’s two most formidable private military factions." -Xbox The game is set to release in 2o22 on Xbox One and Xbox Series One.


Bloodhunt


"Bloodhunt is a thrilling, free-to-play battle royale game set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. Use your supernatural powers, weapons, and wit to dominate the night and restore the Masquerade!" -Steam The game is set to release in early 2022.


Dying Light 2 Stay Human


Announced at the Gaming Awards last night was the sequel to Dying Light. The game itself is a zombie apocalyptic open-world game set 20 years after the original game. The game is going to focus more on the so-called Dark Ages, which include things like betrayal and mistrust. The game is scheduled to be released on February 4, 2022, for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.


GTFO


After a two-year-long wait in early access, the developers of the game released the full game trailer at last night's Game Awards, surprising fans with a full release of the game along with a 25% discount for buying the game on the release date. The game itself is an extreme cooperative survival horror shooter game that puts players in intense situations that can go bad to worse, very quickly. The goal of the game is to work together or die trying.


ELDEN RING


"Unravel the mysteries of the Elden Ring’s power. Encounter adversaries with profound backgrounds, characters with their own unique motivations for helping or hindering your progress, and fearsome creatures." -EldenRingOffical The trailer itself provided players with new lore, making them even more eager for the re-release scheduled for February 25, 2022.


ARC Raiders


"ARC Raiders is a free-to-play, reimagined, cooperative action shooter that offers an intense struggle in every session: together with your squad, defend our home and resist the onslaught of ARC – a ruthless mechanized threat descending from space." -Steam The game is set to release for the PC in 2o22.


The Matrix Awakens



Announced last night during the Gaming Awards, The Matrix Awakens was released. This new interactive experience went live, giving players the ability to have a real-time look at Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. This engine is currently only a demo but players can access it and enjoy it now.
