So it's no surprise that games like Animal Crossing New Horizons had over five million copies sold during the pandemic because the game helped individuals cope with the loneliness and anxiety that came with the pandemic.

Other games such as Call of Duty Warzone and Dead by Daylight provide social interaction for the player, making it easier to play with friends or even make new friends in the game. This creates an environment where the player can not only be themselves but also feel comfortable in a space with others. They also provide a space for people who are recovering from mental health trauma to relax and unwind from the stress of their current lives.
