European Masters Spring 2022
EU Masters Spring 2022 is the 9th European Masters tournament, featuring 28 of the top European teams from the spring regional leagues as they come together to battle it out for 150,000 euros (estimate $165,000 USD). The competition is split up into 5 phases starting from Qualification and ending in the playoffs which takes place May 7th, 2022.
The first stage of play begins with qualification and play-in group stage where we will see 16 of the 28 teams battle it out to advance to the knockout stage. Only 2 teams in each group will survive this stage and move on. At this point only 8 teams remain the the play-in group and the knockout stage will see this number reduced to 4.
Once the last 4 play-in teams are announced they will join the 12 teams who qualified for the group stage in a 10 day double round robin tournament to decide which teams move on to the playoffs. The playoffs will then consist of a single elimination bracket with all rounds being a best of 5.
