New Ownership
“Esports Stadium Arlington has been in the national spotlight since day one with its high-tech capabilities and the caliber of new events it has brought to our city. .... “We are excited to partner with Envy Gaming to play host to their home matches and to continue attracting esports and gaming events that will bring fans here from around the globe.”
The Esports Stadium in Arlington Texas is now under new management for 2022. Esports organization Team Envy, owners of OpTic Texas and Dallas Fuel have came to an agreement to purchase the operating contract from Esports Venues LLC, a group previously owned by Neil Leibman and other investors.
The stadium opened in November 2018 with the help of the city of Arlington Texas to bring many new opportunities to its city. The venue itself is also the largest venue currently in all of the United States of America featuring 100,000 square feet of adaptable layout, a fully functional RGB stage, 90-foot LED displays, theatrical quality lighting and audio, secure technology systems designed for competitive LAN environments.
Team Envy
Team Envy has made many big waves in esports lately between them acquiring the brand OpTic as well as those under-neigh the brand such as Dallas Fuel, the OverWatch League team based out of Texas. They are also not new comers when it comes to operating live events. They were one of the first to operate a franchised event in front of an audience.
The 2 day event brought over 4,000 fans and spectators from around the world to the opening weekend of the 2019 OverWatch League season. Envy has also housed many majors such as 2021 Call of Duty League Major IV and Major V, and Nishi Fest, an anime and Asian pop culture festival.
