Envy and Predator provide Grants for Youth eSports

Envy, owner Overwatch League’s Dallas Fuel and Call of Duty’s Dallas Empire, has presented The Envy Gaming Empowerment Grant. The program, managed by the esports organization, will “give North Texas middle schools and high schools the opportunity to apply for funding, gaming hardware, and ongoing education curricula needed to start or grow an extracurricular esports program.”

Alongside Predator Gaming, the organization plans to focus on four areas:

  • Development of STEAM initiatives at the middle and high school level.

  • Bettering gamer cognitive, mental, and physical health.

  • Delivering happiness to children receiving medical care.

  • Enhancing the lives of those that live in the North Texas area.

Grants can extend anywhere from $5000-$15,000 in financing. Envy and Predator are requesting assistance of the Varsity Esports Foundation to choose the best 15-20 candidates. Within the list of finalists, the group will choose “no less than 5 recipients.”
