Regular & Post Season Updates
The 2022 season of the Call of Duty League will feature many new updates. One of the most notable changes is the return of 12 team majors. These events will be split up between 4 majors throughout the year. Each of these events will have 3 weeks of qualifiers with the final week concluding with the top 8 fighting it out for points and prize money.
The Call of Duty League is also hopeful it can return to in person events featuring fans in attendance. The first major is set to be hosted by OpTic Texas with the other 3 being announced at a later date.
We are also seeing many post season changes with this years league. Normally the top 2 seeded teams would receive a bye heading into the championship event. This will that will change with the announcement that the bottom 2 placing teams in the pro league will not qualify for the finals. This change has many spectating if this is what lead to many leaving the league during the off season.
2022 CDL Roadmap
We also got news about many new events becoming apart of the Call of Duty League including a Pro-Am Warzone event. This event will include many pro players, celebrities and Streamers as they battle it out before the main event.
The season is set to officially kick off February 4th-6th with opening weekend set to take place online. We will see the return of classic game modes including Hardpoint, Search and Destroy and Control. Be sure to tune into the action and see what teams come out on top.
